I, Yusufu Abubakar, on behalf of myself and the Acting Heads at the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, today, welcome you all to the new year 2021.
I appreciate the warm welcome by my fellow colleagues at the Service since my assumption of office on the 31st of December, 2020. I also thank you all, our esteemed Taxpayers, for your compliance towards meeting your civic obligations and working with us to create the Kogi State of our dreams.
Your contributions to taxation have made it possible for the commendable results reported in the year 2020, despite the challenges posed by the outbreak of the Covid – 19 pandemic that crippled the global economy.
I am, therefore, confident that the year 2021 will be super progressive and productive, having utmost trust in your unwavering compliance. Kogi State is ours, and so it becomes our collective responsibility to build.
We look forward to a seamless relationship with you on revenue drive, generation and growth to advance the goodwill cause of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
