Sule Salihu Enehe, an epitome in tax administration, having received his confirmation by his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, on February 07, 2023, as the substantive Executive Chairman of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, continues to receive more encomiums by all and sundry, from Staff and Colleagues, within and across the State.

In his usual eulogy of the Executive Chairman, Muhammad Mukhtar Idris, KGIRS Head of Corporate Communications Unit, describes his confirmation as well-deserved whilst reminiscing his activities in the last fourteen months in the revenue house since he assumed the acting capacity of the organisation. Idris pointed out his unparalleled demonstration of capacity, competence, character, diligence, and resourcefulness during his days as Acting Chairman.

In his words, “between the time you have taken over the mantle of leadership and now, the Service in which we all operate as revenue collectors has experienced transformation in many ways. The most recent being the payment of a 13th month bonus and the ongoing promotion exercise which were a forbidden fruit in the tree of the revenue house before your time.

“The Executive Chairman, Sir, we all have learnt more about your words, your principles and we appreciate your roles in great measures, and more importantly, your open door policy, that makes every gap between the workforce of the organisation invisible including the sanitation officers, colloquially known as cleaners, as everyone is accessible to you at anytime and any day. This alone is a distinguishable feature compared with all the preceding Executive Chairmen of the Service.

“Enehe, you have done so well. The confirmation is not a surprise as it is well deserved. I implore you to start consolidating the good works you have started by reintegrating those who see the Service as an empowerment structure by engaging them into productive capacities, revisiting those who in one way or the other cheated themselves and are even on the verge of leaving as a result, if possible.

“Mr Chairman, Sir, I foresee the kind of revenue collection heritage you want to build, going by the vision of the organisation, as the leading revenue service in the nation in terms of compliance, collection, and cost efficiency.

“I see your mindset in terms of your capacity in actualising every good thing that a human being deserves, and the set of attitude you have established in the last one year and two months, your cognitive processes and the many innovative ideas you bring into the Service which have greatly improved the IGR of the State, and positioned the Service for more exploits.

“Enehe, you have already taken the Service through the destination of prosperity. My gentle admonition is for you to continue to be more focused, and to not be distracted by any form of outside influences at all as I so much believe your workaholic management team and your dedicated Staff are solidly behind you.

“Congratulations, My Executive Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service”.
