The Management and Staff of Kogi State  Internal Revenue Service have donated food items to Orphans, Widows and the vulnerable citizens in the State.

The Acting Executive Chairman, KGIRS, Alhaji Yusufu Abubakar, in his remarks, said that the distribution of the food items was to celebrate the 46th birthday of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza  Bello.

Alhaji Yusufu, represented by the Director, Administration and Finance of the Service, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Bello, said that the distribution of food items to orphanage homes in the State was to showcase the sensitiveness of the Governor to all and sundry in the State and to appreciate God’s faithfulness in the leadership of the tremendous achiever.

He added that the Management and Staff of KGIRS decided to celebrate the Governor’s  birthday by reaching out to the underprivileged in the society and those in need to identify with them and to extend the magnanimity of the New Direction Government of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Revenue, Sulaiman Hameed, while commenting, stated that   the gesture was to extend the hands of fellowship to those in need, to enable them feel the presence of Governor Bello who has been a cheerful giver and whose impacts do not spare any section of the society.

Hameed noted that the donation of the items will, no doubt, go a long way to alleviate the needs of the beneficiaries while charging the Managers to use the items for the purpose intended.

The Hostel Manager at Arqam Orphans and Widows Welfare Foundation, Ateba, Agasa, in Okene Local Government Area of the State, Mallam Bello Hussein, expressed his appreciation to the Management of Kogi State internal Revenue Service for such warm gestures in the celebration of  the Governor’s birthday, describing the initiative as commendable and wished the Governor well in his political journey.

The Matron, Margaret Garba Ohiani Orphanage Home, Zango-Daji, Lokoja, Mrs. Rufina Ejembi, in her appreciations, prayed for God’s guidance and protection over the Governor as he celebrates his birthday. She equally appreciated the Management of KGIRS for the food items donated, assuring that they would be used for the purpose intended.

One of the beneficiaries from the Orphanage Homes, Abdulmuhid Salihu, commended KGIRS for extending such gestures to them and prayed God to grant the Governor good health, long life and prosperity.
