The Chairman, KGIRS Interim Management Committee, Honourable Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, has reiterated his determination to automate the entire system at the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service for effective and efficient service delivery.

Asiru, who doubles as the Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, stated this on Monday, November 23, 2020, during an elaborate presentation on electronic tax payment platform by Bespoque ICT Solutions.

The audience at the session comprised of the representative of the Kogi State Government House and the representatives of all the Directorates at the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service.

The decorated Commissioner, who is known for his dexterity and track records of achievements, reaffirmed the commitment of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, towards the general digitalisation of the State, noting that the revenue house, being the churning centre of the State’s economic viability, will take the lead in the realisation of the grand plan.

While corroborating the IMC Chairman’s optimism, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT, Mr. Ismaila Umar, stated in unequivocal terms that the State Government is desirous on weaving automation into the administration of the State, saying such effort will  automatically make the revenue house the focal point of the digital revolution plan of the current administration.

In the show of good faith and absolute readiness to work, the Staff of the Service present at the session showed their individual Directorate’s anticipation for a fully automated system as they all unanimously clamoured for a complete actualisation of the agenda for efficient and effective revenue drive and growth in the State.

The Chairman, in his closing remarks, urged all hands to be on deck, noting that the realisation of the vision rests on development that must be achieved  before the final wrap of the current committee’s administration.
