Hassanat holds multiple academic and professional qualifications, including:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting from Bayero University, Kano (BUK)
- Master’s in Treasury Management (MTM) from Bayero University, Kano
- Master’s Degree in Business and Commercial Law from Bayero University, Kano
In pursuit of higher academic achievements, she is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Accounting at Salem University, Lokoja, Kogi State.

In 2016, she joined the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service as the Head of Treasury/Final Accounts in the Finance and Accounts Directorate. Her dedication and leadership led her to various roles, including:
- Head of the Directorate of Corporate Resources
- Area Tax Manager (ATM) at Lokoja II Area Tax Office
- Head of Direct Assessment in the Directorate of Personal Income Tax, serving as Deputy Director
She is now the Director of MDAs, where she continues to lead with distinction and innovation.
