Bala Abubakar Aliu is the Director of Legal Services and Compliance with the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS). He is a self-driven, resourceful, creative, and forward-looking individual with an extensive work experience in both public and private sectors of Nigeria.

Abubakar Aliu Bala is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B. Hons 1992), then Nigeria Law School, Bwari, Abuja (BL Hons), in 1993, and currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M Hons) at the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.

He has attended several local and international seminars and trainings, especially on Commercial Law, Litigation, and on Administrative Law.

• He is a Member, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and Member, International Bar Association (IBA).
• Career wise, he has over 30 years of work experience across seven (7) different law firms in Nigeria.
• He has expertise in pre and post-election litigation, constitutional and administrative law, litigation, corporate and commercial law practice, and general legal counsel.
• He served as a Legal Adviser/Company Secretary at Startel System, Ikeja, Lagos State.
• He also served as a Legal Adviser, Marz Publications, Publisher of Image Magazine, Oshodi, Lagos State.
• He worked at Marigold Ind. Ltd. As a Legal Adviser, Ikeja, Lagos.
• He was a Counsel at Godson International Ltd, Isolo, Lagos State.
