Alhassan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB HONS) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU), followed by his BL HONS from the Nigeria Law School, Bwari, Abuja, which he completed in 2001.

Alhassan began his career as a Junior Partner with R.O Aremu and Co in Okene, Kogi State, from 2001 to 2002. He then moved to Aliyu Saiki and Co, where he worked from 2002 to 2005. Between 2005 and 2017, he served as the Head of Litigation at Abdullahi Aliyu and Co, further sharpening his legal skills.
In January 2018, Alhassan joined the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service as Head of Legal Services in the capacity of Senior Manager. His outstanding performance led to his promotion to Principal Manager while maintaining his leadership of the Legal Services department.
