Kogi State Government on Wednesday inaugurated the steering committee on States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) New Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI) 5 that will interface with the World Bank on Geographic Information System (GIS) activities in the State.

Inaugurating the committee on behalf of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Ayoade Arike, said as part of the criteria for accessing technical assistance by the World Bank $2.5M meant for assisting GIS was to inaugurate the committee expected to oversee the affairs of the GIS.

Announcing, the membership of the Committee, the SSG declared that Mukadam Asiru Idris Asiwaju the Honourable Commissioner for Finance Budget and Economics Planning who equally doubled as Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) will be the Chairman while Mr. Tobi Sowole the Project Manager appointed as Secretary of the Committee.

Others appointed as members of the Committee are Nazir Yusuf Ochi the Director General Land and Urban Development,   Mustapha Salihu the State’s Surveyor General, Engr. Muftau Ogueyi representing Kogi Internal Revenue Service, Mr  Bayode Ebenezer the  SFTAS Focal Person and Mr Daniel Sanni representing Kogi Town Planning Board.
