KGIRS DONATES LAPTOP COMPUTERS TO KOGI STATE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL

As part of its collaborative efforts with the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service has donated Ten (10) Laptop Computers to Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, to boost its automation processes and to also establish more formidable bonds with the Agency.

The Executive Chairman, Mr. Aliyu Inda Salami, while presenting the Computers applauded the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for the improved technical changes he has effected in the health sector of the State.

The Executive Chairman, who was ably represented by Mr. Benjamin Jide Atomode, his Technical Assistant, in his remarks, stated that the only way to achieve the 3 Billion Plus Monthly Projection of the State’s Internally Generated Revenue is to block leakages experienced from loopholes at revenue collection centres.

According to Mr. Aliyu, the best way to block these leakages is through automation of all revenue generation processes , hence the reason the Service has come to offer 10 durable Laptops for the Hospital’s use.

Present at the handing over occasion was the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, who said that the gesture is a great development and stressed that revenue leakages used to be the order of the day before the advent of the New Direction Government. She further admonished the Management of Kogi State Specialist Hospital to use the donation made by the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service judiciously to deliver in the most maximum output possible.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Jacob Attah, who was overwhelmed by the donation, in his appreciation acknowledged the gesture of the Executive Chairman of the Service in making sure that progress is being made in the revenue generation of the State and promised that his Management will work steadfastly to make sure the aims are reached.

The high point of the event was the presentation of the Laptops to the Management Board of Kogi State Specialist Hospital by the Service, anchored by the SSG, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade
